Prevention of prolapse in middle age

 

Balzac age – the most prosperous period in a woman's life. There is harmony in the family, deep respect and mutual understanding in the relationship with the spouse, the children have grown up and you can devote yourself to your career, travel and favorite activities.

At the age of 35, the woman is still young and fresh, but at the same time experienced and knows how to appreciate the joys of life. Prolapse of the genitals can, if not cross out, then at least change life plans.

What causes uterine prolapse in adulthood?

From the age of 35, the amount of estrogen in a woman's body begins to decrease – hormones that affect the density and elasticity of connective tissue. Along with the first wrinkles and decreased skin turgor, the ligaments that hold the uterus and pelvic floor weaken. Without regular Kegel exercises, the process accelerates. Physical activity, heavy lifting, and standing work – All this leads to the fact that the walls of the vagina begin to sag, and the uterus shifts downwards.

Previous births can affect the condition of the pelvic floor muscles, especially if the woman has not made any effort to restore her intimate muscles and has not used vaginal exercisers for training. Pregnancy and childbirth after 35 years of age without prior preparation and strengthening of the perineum create a high risk of genital prolapse.

Unfortunately, by the age of 35, many women have respiratory diseases. Deterioration of the environmental situation, smoking and physiological «weakness» respiratory tract in women predispose to chronic cough, which provokes prolapse of the vagina and uterus.

Age-related changes in metabolic processes and physical inactivity are reflected in the figure. Among ladies of Balzac age, the greatest number of fans are miracle diets. Dietary restrictions are followed by immoderate food consumption and lead to intestinal dysfunction and chronic constipation. Chronic problems with bowel movements can trigger the development of genital prolapse. Vaginal prolapse is often accompanied by rectal prolapse, which further exacerbates constipation.

What to do to avoid genital prolapse

  5. Planning a pregnancy at age 35 should definitely include pelvic floor muscle training. During pregnancy, you should perform a lighter version of the exercises; after giving birth, you should exercise with a vaginal trainer; and if the perineal muscles become significantly weakened, you should use a supporting pessary to prevent prolapse of the internal organs during physical activity.
  6. In case of urine leakage, discomfort in the genital area, back pain – consult a doctor immediately. Diagnosing prolapse is not difficult and involves a gynecological examination and ultrasound.

Omission with omission

If vaginal and uterine prolapse cannot be avoided, surgical treatment should be considered first. Only surgery can permanently cure the problem. If surgery is not possible for any reason, use a gynecological pessary.
Don't ignore the disease. It's easy to waste time; the disease progresses every day, and only timely treatment can stop it.
