Vaginal cones and pelvic floor rehabilitationThe use of simple and effective methods for the prevention and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction is relevant in resource-limited settings. This article provides a literature review (1985–2015) on the use of vaginal cones for pelvic floor rehabilitation. The presented data demonstrate that vaginal cones can be used in most women to assess pelvic floor muscle condition and are recommended as first-line therapy for stress and mixed urinary incontinence, as well as for postpartum rehabilitation.
